Position available for an Advance Practice Nurse to coordinate the triage process for patients in the hospital emergency department (ED). This position is with the Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas.

Requirements:

  • Graduate physician assistant

  • Must be a graduate of a PA educational program

  • Have and maintain certification as a physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

  • Have at least one (1) year experience within the past three (3) years routinely practicing as a physician assistant in a primary care specialty.

Needed: skilled advance practice nurse for Cardiovascular Service Line

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs supports a growing cardiovascular surgical practice at it's main campus. In 2006 approximately 472 cardiovascular procedures were performed at Penrose Hospital. A nationally recognized program with awards for clinical excellence in 2007, the program is led by an outstanding cardiovascular surgeon, Dr. James Stewart. A second surgeon is currently being recruited and is expected to be on board by Summer 2007.

The Cardiovascular Service Line is looking to recruit a highly skilled advance practice nurse to provide training and education to nurses caring for cardiovascular surgical patients and to implement best practices in cardiovascular surgery. In addition, the individual will be responsible for assisting the surgical practice in caring for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient arena.
